 Working a Jewelry Collection in the Evergreen StudioJewelry Collections give me a chance as an artist to dive into and learn and share more about a nature inspired topic that I can share with others...mine usually have an animal, gemstone and earth element as a starting base for creativity. A portion of the proceeds usually goes to causes related to the collection. |  me and my bowerbird Kylewithout this guy nothing is possible..Kyle keeps me in the best studio ever so we can keep creating all our dreams together.  campfire outside the domeSince making the change to a tiny living lifestyle...I like to say that the earth is our home but our tiny studio/cabin/RV etc are our shelters....I think this way of thinking puts life in a better/more accurate perspective as shelter is what keeps us from the weather and safe as it does for any other animal but the earth/outside is where we really do or strive to do most of our real living. |  Aircrete Dome Cabin + FriendsWhile we are on 26 acres of land that is 20 minutes from Waco and it often feels like our own state park we think it is very important to stay connected to friends and social...so we host friends out often and even have a few spaces we put in for camping and for those with tiny houses, camper vans etc. these spaces have electric hookups too...we hope to rent out in the future too...ps Vegans and Animal Lovers get first pick! |
 Finished Dome Homeas of November of 2024 Kyle and I live full time in this incredible dome that he built us...as of 2025 he is finishing the final part by making us a covered porch! It is completely off-grid using solar panels and rain water! We love it so much! |

Welcome to my tiny Sustainable jewelry studio inside an Evergreen Shipping Container! This is where all the handmade jewelry making magic happens.

The tiny studio build began in December of 2018 when we ordered a shipping container to be delivered to our land in central Texas. I was so happy when it was delivered that it was green which is my favorite color and also that it read EVERGREEN!
I felt this was a perfect name for this studio as I am always hoping my jewelry is "evergreen" both in quality & purpose.
Needless to say I love the recycled aspect of both my work space and that I make my jewelry out of recycled metals aka "green" materials ...well it all seems like kismet!

While the Evergreen Studio itself is Solar Powered for electricity and off-grid too, getting its water from our rain catch cistern,
The Evergreen Studio is located on 26 acres of land which was previously used for cattle ranching that we are rewilding back to the earth and plan to keep mostly wild prairie for all the deer, bobcats, coyotes, wild pigs, rabbits, wild turkeys, oppossum, skunks,beaver etc that now call this land home and also the many birds including the Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher which is why we, along with our friends and family call the land
Camp Scissor-Tail.
In 2025 It was repainted to an off white to look more cohesive with the surrounding buildings, but it did get a new sign that is still 'green' in honor of the name.

We are currently living in our Aircrete Dome Cabin that we built (well mostly Kyle built) and moved into in the fall of 2024, see images in gallery.
We are always striving to live in harmony with the earth and with the native wildlife and hopefully leaving the earth better or with the least amount of damage while we are here on this planet.
