Reflecting on Our 2025 Jewelry Studio Journey: Highlights and Insights

As the year draws to a close, it offers a natural moment to pause and reflect on the journey traveled. Looking back helps us understand what worked, what didn’t, and what we can carry forward. This reflection is not just about celebrating successes but also about learning from challenges and setting a clearer path ahead. In this post, we explore key lessons and milestones that shaped our year!

Recognizing Milestones That Mark Progress

Every year brings moments that stand out—achievements that mark progress and growth. This year was no different we had more art fairs on the books to connect as well as many new jewelry and lifestyle goods added to our shops that we shared with our customers.

• Setting clear goals early on

At the start of the year, we made it a goal to reach out and visit many more of our customers at in-person events, especially by attending an event each season. Spring 2025 was The Zend Farm Sanctuary for Open Farm Day, Fall was Fort Worth VegFest and we finish the year with a Winter/Holiday Market at Reverie Bakeshop. It is great to be face to face with friends and customers in real time and in person.

• Celebrating small wins

Another goal this Year was to make new One-of-a-Kind Pieces like the Titanium Drusy Quartz we started 2025 off for a spectacular Valentine's Day Jewel that has sold and went to a loving home! We still have many of the gemstone rings and be sure to Shop all our One-of-a-Kinds year round for an especially unique piece or gift.

• Adapting to unexpected changes

Life rarely follows a perfect plan! We ended the year with some unexpected and uncontrollable metals market drama with the price of sterling silver skyrocketing! For many of my fellow jewelers this really has meant raising their prices beyond recognition of their brand and sadly for others shuttering their online doors forever. In an effort to avoid either of these I began to pivot late this year by making my sterling pendants with beaded necklaces sans sterling chains as a way to cut that cost so that people can still get my jewelry affordably but now with some added color. It's a win-win!!

• Building resilience

I sometimes stay in my bubble and definitely try not to get to political but with the world going the way it is going I added some pieces that I consider part of my Wellness jewelry collection that I am calling the "Fuck it" jewelry...these are really picking up steam at the end of the year for the obvious reasons. I do think we all need a little "Fuck it " in our lives...especially these days.

Looking Ahead with Intention

Reflection is not just about the past; it’s a tool for shaping the future. By understanding our journey, we can set clearer intentions and make informed decisions.

• Identify areas for growth

One of my areas of growth is to continue to expand my LGBTQ line of jewelry such as one of my most popular rings of the year the Queer Ring in recycled sterling silver. I am hoping to keep the price at just $20 as well...wish me luck!

• Plan for larger sales

Continuing to expand my jewels with larger purchases via Faire Wholesale and my website wholesale orders such as the House Rabbit Society Necklaces and the Texas Humane Legislation Network Holiday ornaments.

• Stay open to change

In 2026 I hope to stay open minded and expand my jewelry making techniques such as playing with more casting...adding it to my list of jewelry making skills. Learning is always a great resolution, don't you think?!
